By The Eternaut, the iconic cartoon argentine Héctor Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano López, comes to life in a new adaptation for Netflix. The series, directed by Bruno Stagnaro (Pizza Birra y Faso, Squatters, A rooster for Esculapio) and with the executive production of Matthias Mosteirín and Hugo Sigman, promises to be an epic sci-fi adventure that will captivate audiences from all over the world.
An all-star cast to a legendary story
The cast of El Eternauta is composed by well-known actors argentine and international, carefully selected to bring to life the memorable characters of the cartoon.
Ricardo Darín (The Secret in their Eyes, Tales of the Wild) plays Juan Salvothe protagonist of the story, an ordinary man who becomes involved in a struggle for survival after the invasion of an alien race.
Carla Peterson (The Successful Pells, I do Not Break) puts you in the shoes of Elena, the wife of Juan Salvo, a strong woman and resilient that makes it a fundamental pillar for the resistance.
The rest of the cast is completed by:
- Ariel Staltari (Clan, The odyssey of the giles) as Favalli, the faithful friend of Juan Salvo.
- Andrea Pietra (The Signal, Partner, True Result).
- Marcelo Subiotto (Story of a clan, Gilda, I do not regret this love) as Franco, an idealistic young man who joins the fight against the invaders.
- Cesar Troncoso (December 2001, Iosi the spy repented).
The premiere of the series El Eternauta is planned for 2024 on Netflix. Without a doubt, will be an event not to be missed for fans of the comic and for all lovers of science fiction.
